Brief beginning

Winter officially begins today, and I celebrate the beginning of my 41st consecutive winter without a car. I celebrate because I live in a city that has the resources and size to make this possible, and because I have the family support for it.

This morning I was filing old receipts from my store. On the year 2001, out of all the riders that bought bikes that year, I came upon the receipt for Jack Bradigan-Spula, my favorite customer. I went out for a walk, to do all my shopping on foot within two miles of my home, and the minute I came to Monroe Avenue, there was Jack.

Synchronicity is my hobby. There is meaning in coincidence. If nothing more than to keep track of these and think about them. I think that I have wide interests and good memory, and so I make meaningful things that others may ignore.
